Obituary for Kenneth Haverstick

Kenneth Haverstick

December 22, 1925 - February 11, 2018

Kenneth Haverstick, 92, passed away on February 11, 2018 . Born in Jamaica, NY, Ken was a long-time New Jersey resident who lived in Union City, Maywood, and then Mount Laurel from 1969 until his passing. He served his country honorably as a Signalman in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Ken made his career in advertising, starting as a Storyboard Artist and Copywriter at agencies on New York's Madison Avenue and retiring as an Account Executive at Al Paul Lefton Company in Philadelphia, PA, in 1989. He was a skilled wood-working artisan who sold his beautiful crafts at art shows throughout South Jersey. Above all, Ken was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Margaret L. Haverstick; his daughter and son-in-law, Susan O'Rourke and Timothy Dingman; his daughter and son-in-law, Patrice and Patrick Broomell and grandchildren Amanda, David and Kevin; his daughter and son-in-law Eileen and Michael Mende and grandson Matthew; his daughter and son-in-law Janis and Mark Seraydarian and grandsons Thomas and Michael; and his sister, Helen Kerr.

A private service will be held for the immediate family. Although Alzheimer's may have laid claim to his last days, it will be Ken's intelligent, creative, and loving spirit that will endure in our hearts always.
