Condolence: I was so fortunate to have met Maria so many years ago at the Sweat Shop and to have remained friendly with her over the years. I will miss her presence in my life as a truly "balanced" person with a heart of gold. May she rest in peace.

Condolence: The dictionary defines "mensch" as a person of dignity and honor and it has been described as "someone to admire and emulate, someone of noble character." Maria was all of these things. While we truly mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life and understand that we ourselves are better as people for having been touched by her grace, kindness and love.
