Theresa Margaret Dillenschneider, age 82, devoted wife of 66 years to J.J., loving mother of Karen Cutler Colella (Harry) and Jay; beloved grandmother to Kyle Cutler; loving sister to James Brennan (Diane) as well as a favorite aunt and great aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Hoy. Theresa was born in Pottsville, PA. She graduated from Harrisburg Hospital Nursing School as a registered nurse and later earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University). She loved working in the operating room in her early career. Once she had a family, Theresa moved to school nursing and spent over 20 years in the Camden City school district. Since her retirement in 1996, she devoted her time to her beloved grandson, never missing one of his sporting events, as well as spending time at the Jersey shore and watching her favorite sports teams, the Phillies and Villanova basketball and football. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday August 22, 2018 at St. Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 27 Kresson-Gibbsboro Rd., Gibbsboro, NJ 08026. Interment will be private. The family requests no flowers be sent. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Theresa’s name to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053. A scholarship fund is also being established in Theresa’s memory to benefit a Camden High School student interested in studying nursing.
