ONORATO, William on April 17, 2019, of Mahopac NY and formerly of Bronx NY. Age 86. Longtime companion of the late Patricia Mehmel. Loving father of Danielle Scibilia (Joseph), Danny Onorato (Nicole), Kevin Mooney (Toni), Robin Mahoney (James), Brian Mooney, James Mooney and Steven Mooney. Dear grandfather of Paige and Jason Scibilia, Christopher and Catherine Onorato, Maren, Kara and Jill Mahoney and Erin and Bret Mooney and Steven and Michelle Mooney. Dearly loved brother of Angela Hellthaler. He is the former husband of Dorothy Onorato. Mr. Onorato is lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Lucy (nee Toscano) Onorato and his brother, Louis Onorato. William proudly served his country in the US Air Force and was the recipient of many medals for his valiant service. He went onto again serve his country and community as a 9-11 rescue worker. In his working career, he was a Union Ironworker in Manhattan. He enjoyed his time as a umpire for semi professional baseball. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Monday from 11am-1pm at the Bradley Funeral Home where a Funeral Service will be held at 1pm.Interment Tuesday 10:30am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown PA.
