Gertrude Price (nee Hankerson), of Cherry Hill, NJ, previously of Orangeburg, SC, passed away on May 22, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Orvia Price, Sr. Devoted mother of Thomas Price (Shelia White-Price) and the late Orvia “Snooke” Price, Jr. Loving grandmother of Thomas Moses Price, Kyle Addison Price, Tiffany Renee Price-Bond (Gregory Bond) and Dana White-Franklin (Kai Franklin). Caring great grandmother of Nasir, Jaylan, Imani and Kai Jr. Predeceased by her parents William and Nellie Hankerson, and her siblings William Hankerson, Jr., Metis Purdy, Thomas Hankerson, Clifford Hankerson, and Angelee Hankerson. Gertrude is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. A special thanks to her dear friend, Ms. Catherine Griffin in Orangeburg, SC.
Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday, May 27, from 11am to 12pm at Bradley Funeral Home, Route 73 and Evesham Road, Marlton, NJ. A time of sharing will begin at 12pm. Gertrude will be buried at Hope Memorial Cemetery in Barnwell, South Carolina.
