Everyone deals with their loss differently. You may go through many different emotions as you come to terms with your loss and begin the healing process. If you're having difficulty coming to terms with the loss of a loved one, or you simply need someone to talk to, you should consider seeking grief support.
The grief caused by the loss of a loved one can result in feelings of sadness, denial, anger, loneliness and even guilt. These emotions can cause physical reactions such as a lack of energy, a lack of appetite, the inability to concentrate, the inability to sleep and a lack of interest in hobbies and activities you once enjoyed.
It's normal to experience these emotions and physical reactions as a result of your grief. You should consider seeking grief support to help guide you through the healing process.
Having someone to speak to can make it a lot easier to deal with what you're feeling. There are many ways that you can seek support. One way is to find a friend or family member to confide in. If you don't feel comfortable doing this, then you could also join a grief support group in your area.
A grief support group can be effective because it will allow you to engage with other people who may have gone through -- or are going through -- similar feelings of grief. Knowing that other people relate to what you are feeling can make it easier for you to share. However, if you prefer something a bit more private, then you may want to consider grief counseling with a professional therapist.
